Born in Staten Island, New York in 1996, Taurie embraced her artistic talent in school shows, singing, dancing and performing on stage. The spotlight was a natural space for her to be in.
At age 11, Taurie wrote her first song which she performed in the family living room and never looked back.
At 19, she found herself in an actual music studio for the first time, helping a friend mix a playlist for a party. She picked up studio engineering and showed innate expertise with natural ease. After putting that playlist together, Taurie could not stay away from the studio. She suspended her pursuit of becoming a Neurosurgeon and decided to teach herself everything about studio recording of music.
Armed with song writing skills on the fly, Taurie was also able to teach herself how to use music studio engineering equipment to easily create beats and produce multiple songs in hours of a day, making her a maverick and enigma to her friends and associates.
Today, Taurie can play FIVE musical instruments – Piano, Keyboard, Acoustic Guitar and Electric Bass Guitar, Ukulele.
Her music vault today has over 100 songs from different genres and timelines. Taurie is determined to feed and nurture every aspect of her creativity as she engages her fans.
Taurie is Nigerian in West Africa and a Native American tribe in Oregon, United States.
Taurie’s parents met at a concert in Staten Island. Taurie grew up with her mother, whom she has an inseparable bond with. Her mother is her greatest fan and fierce supporter of her artistic journey and expressions, cheer-leading her to reach the heights of her dream of becoming a striking voice of freedom and unapologetic self love of her generation, through music.
Taurie is a passionate artist and a complete authentic performer.
She takes time to study trends and entertainment patterns in performance and creates a unique experience as a singer, song writer, producer, choreographer and dancer.
Taurie arranges and performs her own dance step routines in fascinating sequences drawing in theatrical influences and contemporary steps, fusing them together to make a compelling and memorable performance. She works tirelessly to produce a high-quality experience, impossible to forget. She is in complete control of all her video appearances and will not stop for any reason until ‘the job is done’.
Taurie loves expressions on print, translated in music. She can transform a simple fleeting moment into an emotional ode to humanity, which is why she can move across music genres with her instruments to tug at emotional and relatable scenarios in her songs, capturing all audiences – R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock and even NiPop (Nigerian Pop) where she sings with the genre’s slangs and her mother’s native language. Taurie is working on her fourth unreleased album with each one significantly distinct from the other.
Taurie taught herself how to use and master music software like Apple Logic Pro X, Adobe Audition, Reaper, and other software that creates and edits music at the studio. Taurie has the ability of transforming an idea, a thought, a feeling to tunes, from scratch to radio radio and performance ready. She is a passionate artist and a complete and authentic performer.

An ardent believer of ‘giving the fans a memorable time’, Taurie performs often with her band ‘T.A.S.K’ (Taurie And the String Kings) at local lounges and open mics in New Jersey -

•‘The Asbury Hotel’ – Red Bank
•‘Chubby Pickle’ – Atlantic Heights

•‘Stockton University’ – Atlantic City
•‘The Blue Wall Lounge’ - Perth Amboy
During these performances, Taurie has created a growing and popular optics branding with a glass of wine in hand while performing, engaging the audience to pour themselves glasses of the same wine and experience the mood with her. After a few songs, she then asks who would like to request a closer performance where she walks over to their table and sings to them and with them. The crowd goes wild with this request and not soon after Taurie is singing at tables to, and with her guests.
At the end of the night, the crowd truly get what they came for – an intimate experience with the artist where they feel that they were treated with personal attention. She thrives in giving a memorable performance and truly loves making her audience happy.
That same passion drives Taurie to practice for hours each day on her dance routines, work out at night and hit the studio to record more songs. She has a professional etiquette of ‘always being ready’ so she drives herself to the highest standard and quality
At a young age of 23 Taurie has been fondly called an old soul in a young body by her peers, associates and friends alike. She is soft spoken, pleasant to hang out with, patient to work with and always engaging.
She loves family time. With her hectic schedule, Taurie still watches cartoon with her youngest sibling every Friday night, picks her sister up after sports practice in between studio recordings, cooks on her scheduled days to cook at home, and still has time for weekly Sunday brunch with the whole family, a tradition she has kept with her mother from her younger years.
With so much talent and zest for life and success, Taurie welcomes each tomorrow and each opportunity with confidence and a clear vision of what she sees herself to become – a unique performing artist and an ambassador of music as a true expression of self.
Taurie’s message to young women is to ‘be authentic and love all of who you are. Don’t let life’s challenges change you and stay true to the ones you love.’
